Art in the Park
The annual Premier Outdoor Art Exhibition – Art in the Park is upon us again,
Like in previous years, visitors to the 2018 exhibition can look forward to a rich tapestry of mediums, ranging from all painting mediums to photography, glassworks, paintings in sand and now selected craft pieces. A stringent selection policy and a focus on quality art help to define the success of Art in the Park
In addition to emerging artists component introduced in 2002, top end craft products supported by the KZN Department of Art & Culture get exposure to a broader audience.
A school art competition called ‘through the eye of a child’ where school kids’ creativity is tested through drawing representations of a chosen topic has become a standard feature of Art in the Park.
Our major sponsor Creative Arts College remains committed to yet another delivery of a great event and KZN Botanical Gardens to provide venue that many are always excited to visit.
Chilla Nathi Cookout Experience will be a new feature in the Art in the Park. This is to maximize footfall to the venue for benefit of exhibitors and to enhance experience for visitors. Live performances and Kiddies infrastructure and activities will also be featured, making this a true family show.
Taking place at KZN Botanical Gardens (Pietermaritzburg) from 2nd-6th May 2018, the 56th edition of Art in the Park is expected to be yet another exposition of artistic excellence.
