7th Annual Women in Tourism 2021 Session


Taking place at Msunduzi Tourism Hub on Thursday, 02 September 2021. Women’s month (August) was closed on a high note when women  in the Tourism Industry gathered to celebrate it. The aim was to share ideas on how to make a living in these trying times of Covid 19.

The Women in Tourism (WiT) Programme is about  supporting and propelling the development and empowerment of women in the tourism sector and to identify mechanisms to address the barriers faced by women in the tourism sector.

Local entrepreneurs were given information on how to promote their businesses and craftwork virtually and how to improve connectivity with the potential buyers/clients through different Social Media platform, and how to improve clientele and demand during these Covid hard times.
